It drives me nuts to see reports written in the third person but most people do it.

I used to write in third person, but it sounded so stuffy, so now I just write what I do. Not quite as stuffy, and it is my opinion, not some random appraiers.

I have used both ways, with neither one resulting in fewer stips. Some days the first person narrative seems to rule the day...

I tend to write in first person except in scope of work - Like Denis... depends upon how awkward it gets.

I used to use third person, but mostly switched somewhere along the line when I realized "we" did not make sense anymore for me, a sole practitioner.
