The right to bear arms is for militiamen. If you're not in the militia you shouldn't have a gun. If you are in a militia then your gun should be kept in a bunker with the rest of the guns until needed.

LOL... That's for the gun nuts.

I hope no one breaks into your house to rape your wife or daughter. I'm sure you will be comforted when the forensics team shows up to bag her body, and you can proudly say you don't believe in guns.

LOL...anyone that thinks they know about gun rights and believes that the right to bear arms is just for militiamen would certainly be classified as a gun "nut".

What an awful thing to say.

I've got gunlocks on all my shotguns. Do you think I should keep one of them at my bedside with no lock so I don't have to fumble for the keys, find the shells, load it up and blast the intruder? Should I use one of the 12 gauges or the 20 gauge and should I load it with trap loads, field loads or buckshot? On the one hand the field loads would probably discourage most intruders and would not be as messy as the buckshot, not to mention less time explaining a body in the hallway to the cops.

I have never kept a gun in my house since my buddy shot his stereo with his "unloaded" gun while four of us were standing there when I was 16 years old.

I heard about a gun nut who accidentally shot himself to death. The irony is that they had to pry the gun from his cold, dead hands.

The powers that be want AVMs and BPOs to replace appraisers by phasing out appraisers......

I can remember people in 1993 saying that in 5-10 years there would be no more appraisers because everything would be automated. Others around here might remember similar statements even earlier than that.

Come to think of it, I can also remember around 1980 or so when they told us that by the year 2000 we'd all be driving flying cars and there would be a colony on the moon.

Don't hold your breath for either of those scenarios to play out anytime soon.

No, keep the gunlocks on. Just tell the murderer/rapist to hold on....maybe have him go grab a flashlight and your glasses so you can see the keyhole, then ask him if he prefers buckshot or trap loads.

There seems to be an implied thought that if one doesn't keep a loaded gun within reach at all times one could be asking to be or have loved ones raped/murdered, etc. Does a lack of preparedness mean one deserves to be a victim?

In a word, yes. It does not matter if its an intruder, Hurricane, Tornado, Flood or anything else. If you have not made plans for a contingency, yes you will be a victim instead of a survivor.

"1. Unconstitutional rules by FHA, FIRREA, HUD, Federal Reserve, State appraisal agencies, HVCC."

Your support for assertion #1 ?

28th Amendment. You know...the newest one...
