1. The economy will be almost entirely driven by AI, robots, and other automation, with an elite group of highly skilled human engineers and analysts to manage that system. This economic system will be hugely more productive than our current one. It will be in the quadrillions (or even quintillions) rather than trillions of dollars.

2. Everyone else who falls outside this economy will be provided for through a relatively small surplus of the above economic production. This surplus will easily support the construction of new advanced housing, food production, and not only the necessities of life, but also items needed for health, entertainment, and education. It is likely that people who successfully learn new skills will be paid more and may enter the economic mainstream.

3. Aside from AI/Robotics, it appears that Fusion Energy is really not far away (thanks to AI). So, there will be plenty of energy. They will have to figure out a way to cool the planet, which is surely possible.

I hope it happens this way.

But what happens if the AI genie once out of the box, learns from itself and concludes humans are worthless, or worse, too dangerous to the planet to sustain and need to be eliminated? The AI tech will be embedded in the military weapons and drones and autonomous vehicles. If AI cumulative wisdomdecides to take us out....I hope it protects the animals and oceans if that is the outcome.

The only reason UI (universal income ) will be paid is that, if AI eliminates too many jobs, where is the customer base going to come from to buy all the efficiently produced products and services? If humans are reduced to mass poverty by lack of paid labor, the products will NEVER be cheap enough to compensate. It still costs $ to produce and ship and pay for the raw materials and some forms of energy even if fusion becomes viable .

We design the AI system to be modular, that is, so that they can be shutdown and started up in modules. If there is a takeover problem, shut the system down, at least the modules associated with the problem.. Then start them up in isolation, run thorough tests on them before recconnecting them to the network grid. Something like that. We must always retain the power to shut them down at multiple points, if nothing else, by just pulling the power supply. Memory will remain intact with power off. Unit, integration and other tests can be designed and executed by an independent system.
