1. The economy will be almost entirely driven by AI, robots, and other automation, with an elite group of highly skilled human engineers and analysts to manage that system. This economic system will be hugely more productive than our current one. It will be in the quadrillions (or even quintillions) rather than trillions of dollars.
2. Everyone else who falls outside this economy will be provided for through a relatively small surplus of the above economic production. This surplus will easily support the construction of new advanced housing, food production, and not only the necessities of life, but also items needed for health, entertainment, and education. It is likely that people who successfully learn new skills will be paid more and may enter the economic mainstream.
3. Aside from AI/Robotics, it appears that Fusion Energy is really not far away (thanks to AI). So, there will be plenty of energy. They will have to figure out a way to cool the planet, which is surely possible.
-> So, that is the way it is going to happen, more or less. IMO.
