It's disappearing from our local tax records. What are people using to fill in the "map reference" field of the URAR?

I have TG hard copy book plus two TG counties on a CD.

I would give Realist a call and complain that the field was removed. They told me that they log those requests. Who knows, it could result in a change? There are SO many fields on the Realist property detail report that we don't need but they dump one that we do!

Within L.A. city, you can look it up here. I still have my dog-eared TG map books when necessary.

@Rich LeMond

TG is dated. Use MSA #. More than likely it's built-in to your form filler software.

Total will fill it in for you if you check the box for it.
But, that number means nothing to me.
I had to look it up. Metropolitan Statistical Area. I don't use those at all. :shrug:

The Ventura County Regional Data Share on May 22 posted;

You may have noticed - - - Thomas Brothers Map Guide information is no longer a Mandatory Field in our MLS.

However - if you fill in any of the four possible fields - ALL will be required. This may prevent you from successfully entering the listing into the MLS.

If Map Book is left blank, then there is no need to fill in Map Page, Map Top, and Map Side information.

I noticed this too, I had to go find old appraisals because Realist got rid of it. Well I guess if the agents don't need it, no one does. Fannie needs to take it off the form along with all the other stupid stuff that makes no difference in the value.

Santa Barbara Flexmls uses another map source for this field on the form, but not sure if it's a required field for a listing.

The last TG book is # 58 in 2013. I don't know if any more will be printed. I purchased from Amazon but I did see some on Rand McNally and one other map sales site.
The map for comps in Paragon doesn't always work.
