The appraisersforum.com Appraisers Petition now has 6894 signatures. 106 more will make an even 7,000.
What can and will YOU do to help reach 7,000? Would you email The Petition to every person you have an email address for (appraiser or not)?
Would you FAX The Petiton to everyone you have a FAX # for?
Would you take the time to look up the website for your State Legislature and email The Petition to all of the elected officials in your state?
Would you find the email address for YOUR Senators and Representatives in Washington, DC and get it to them?
Someone on here posted that The Petition has done no good! Baloney!
There has been more press, legislation, awareness and disdussion of appraisal issues in the last year than ever before. I have spoken to scores of non-appraisers who have seen (and some signed) The Petition and are aware of our concerns. I have talked to reporters, legislators, regulators, lawyers, lenders, real estate agents, home inspectors, contractors, bank presidents, government officials........who have seen The Petiton. The Petition has a life of it's own and continues to get our message across.
The Petition is a huge success. The success is only limited by what we are willing to do to get more signatures and get more people aware of our concerns.
