Crops are emblements and are treated as personal property of the tenant - similar to the difference in fixtures (real estate) and trade fixtures (attached items owned and installed by the tenant) Like a frame machine in a body shop. The machine is necessarily anchored to the floor. The renter is obligated to fix the damaged spot when taking his trade fixture with him.I understand that timber is affixed to the property until cut, but so are crops, albeit for a short while.
