Timeframe for VA reinspection- Colorado

(Edited to clarify) My husband and I are buyers in Colorado. Our lender did a VA reinspection request and it was confirmed the appraiser got it Friday morning. Is there a timeframe we can expect the reinspection done in?

I could only find the timeframe requirements for the initial appraisal. We are anxiously waiting, we don’t want to put the sellers through another contract amendment over a handrail and some paint, and are currently under contract to close this next Friday.

10 days on average. But as VA appraisers are in short supply in rural areas, buyers should expect the VA appraisal to take longer in sparsely-populated locales ? Unfortunately nobody can really say for sure. Many probably got slammed on Friday with multiple requests because lenders love to wait until the last minute. Also Friday was Friday Memorial Day Weekend ? Sorry like a box of chocolates you never know what your going to get but hopefully he/she has already been out there and sends it in to your lender on Monday morning.

Why the "re-appraisal" Have the MPR's been addressed from the first appraisal? Paint issues must be addressed no matter what!

Yes MPRs are all done. Handrail was hung and paint was completed on Memorial Day (props to fast painters!) we had to get a barn structurally certified and that was done Tuesday. The loan underwriter swore they issued the request for the 1004d Wednesday, but whatever lol, we know for a fact the appraiser got it Friday morning.

I didn’t know it was 10 days for the reappraisal, but if we know that is a potential time frame it will help us for sure.

So its not a "reappraisal" but a final inspection or 1004D. So they did address the issues and he will just need to come back out real quick, get pictures and verify. In AZ we have 2 business days to get these in with the day we received the order being day 0. CO may give them extra time but not another 10 days. Are you in the Denver metro area or another part of that amazing home state of mine?

i think the OP means a reinspection to confirm the repairs - not a reappraisal. i always check to see how soon they need it for closing but i think the guidelines say 2 business days.

The home is not in the Denver metro area, it’s a ways out in Lincoln County CO. But, if the guideline is 2 business days that gives us hope!

It's not a Re-Appraisal it's a Re-inspection ( 1004D ) and the appraiser called these out in his original report. Now the lender wants the appraiser to verify the work has been completed. Basically similar to FHA , make the report "subject" to the following repairs or inspections to be completed. The work gets done and the appraiser goes back out and certifies that all the work has been completed and then property meet's MPR's or MPS's.
