Todays Bombshell Executive Order Ends Traditional Appraisals.

Never heard the term? Not surprising. Don't worry about it - you ain't one. But you have a lot of company, so don't feel too bad. It's the easier path.

How about a communist term - running dog? That's a better fit. :rof:

You know I was laughing at your delusional usage, right?

Whatever fight there is for appraisers to wage it will be at the political level because govt coercion is the only lever the lenders will respond to. Not some elite squad of fee appraisers, specially trained to control and dominate the participants of a state board meeting.

Your board hero is a pipe hitter. He tosses around threats and gets **** done for the side that's paying him. Have to give him credit for that.

My side would take 4 weeks to write a 2 page letter, endless revisions, careful wording as to not to upset anyone, etc, etc. The other side shows up, tells the board how things are going to be and if they try to enforce laws they will be sued into oblivion. Hell, I admired that. That's how things get done.

Give me an example of something he's done WRT appraisal standards, laws, regs and state board activity that ever benefitted his employers at the expense of appraisers. Because he sure as sht crossed the company line and defended appraisers in that congressional hearing a couple years back. They definitely didn't want to hear "inconclusive, we can't tell and bears more study". Enough so that I'm amazed he didn't get fired for it.

If he educated your state board members as to the gigantic legal fail they were entering into then they should have sent him a thank-you card and flowers for doing them a solid. He saved them a lot of time and money and embarrassment.

WOW this thread topic took off in different directions , Opinions are like buttts' everyone has one.

So the Trump EO looks like there will be many sources of house financing and less restriction for potential home buyers. Also to reduce regulatory issues to encourage builders to build more affordable homes.

Seems like we already had some something like this in the past. Was it Gorge Bush #2 ?

As a two-time Trump voter he’s been incredibly disappointing this time around. he hasn’t held true to his America first agenda. It’s what government does, does everything but address the core problem. Just coming up with a new gimmick to kick the can down the road.

I can’t stand oathbreakers and turncoats.

Many people disagree about whether Trump is fully delivering on an “America First” agenda, but much of that debate comes from how differently people define the slogan and how complex global leadership really is. Even when a president focuses on national priorities, the U.S. still has to navigate alliances, trade, and global security because it remains a major world power whose actions affect the entire international system. What looks “global” to some can still be aimed at protecting American interests, and what looks like “America First” to others may seem inconsistent to critics. In a world this interconnected, governing often requires balancing domestic goals with the responsibilities that come with being a leading nation.

Simply the USA is the leader of the free world

Side note I predict that Cuba will become a US possesion like Puerto Rico

This would be consistent with the Monroe Doctrine

till time for those in positions of some authority to have courage.
Are we men or mice. Squeek up.

That’s the thing about professionals with ethics and morals. They don’t stick around an immoral and unethical profession forever.
