Trump is Trying Too Hard

I agree the world is flat except for the price and abundance of energy. I noticed in my local rag that front page news was the rising cost of gasoline as if the sky was falling. So I used their search function to see if they ever published an article (even not on the front page) about the high price of gasoline in the last 10-years. Not a peep until now. The Straits typically has 100 to 140 ships per day, and today it had three, so that's a start. I think who ever is in charge in Tehran has to make the decision if they want to open it to shipping or have their lights turned off permanently. Also, I'm not sure if Lincoln cared about the House flipping during the mid-terms because lamp oil prices were rising. Iran's rank was 15th on the Top Military List in February, but is now 31st with a downward arrow. I'm willing to pay $5 gasoline for a world that doesn't have a crazie country that wants to kill us. I remember sitting in hour long odd-even lines so its been a problem for a long time. I've never been a war hawk, but I've never rooted for the enemy.

No. You are a perfect Marxism. Tell others how to live while living it up yourself. You are Puin in drag.
MAGAs just love to put Labels and drag phobia. I ain't no Marxist. I'm a Capitalist though seeing the Socialist policies in Europe appear to work in getting rid of poverty (though there were still beggars on the streets).
I am against them smoking so much everywhere. Must think their socialist health care will take care if they get lung cancer.

The magic and illusion of Trump being an independent and new breed of politician not controlled by the deep state is gone. With the exception of a few areas, he is a puppet no different than the last 4 presidents. George Herbert Walker Trump.

Bucks, only because I like you, I spent 15 minutes trying to find an article I wanted you to read (I read it a few days ago) but could not find the link. So, I am going to summarize it as best I can recall, and then give you a couple of other links that also may be of interest afterwards;

The article I could not find tonight explained that Trump's current strategy is two-fold. First, remove Iran as a destabilizing force in the Middle East and in the world and take out the last peg in the Venezuela-Cuba-Iran terror axis, as well as remove their ability to threaten their neighbors and the West. They were perilously close to getting to the point where defeating them militarily would no longer be an option (ICBMs, drone swarms being two reasons, the Nuclear nightmare the end game they were striving to get to - so as to put themselves in North Korea's shoes).

Secondly, Trump started in his first term to re-align the Middle East. The Abraham Accords were the first big step, and moving the Gulf Arab states into an alliance with Israel against their mutual foes (Iran foremost, but also the other Sunni terror groups) is the "end-game". The current Iran action is serving to push that process along, as the Gulf States now see that peace with an armed and threatening Iran is no longer an option - but alliance with Israel, which can then assist them with defense and technology, will change the entire balance of power and have far-ranging "ripple effects" like isolating China and taking away Russia's foothold in the region. Will it succeed? There are no guarantees, but its a gamble only Trump could take - or pull off.

Lastly, a couple of "reframes" by Kurt Schlichter (Col, US Army Ret) - who is "America First 110%" all the way and despises the "endless wars" as much as any of us - maybe MORE because he was there in his past life.

Make sure you keep scrolling down, because each article continues long after some of the ads that are interspersed.

"Breakdown context
• Total ships: Around 11 total vessels are cited as crossing the Strait in the 24‑hour window that includes March 29, split between inbound and outbound traffic.
• Typical mix: In that window, two of the 11 vessels were crude oil tankers, while the rest were bulk carriers and other non‑tanker commercial ships; no additional tankers were specifically called out beyond those two."

Trump: Iran permits 20 more tankers through Hormuz

Iran has agreed to allow 20 more oil tankers through the Strait of Hormuz, President Donald Trump said late Sunday, as he claimed negotiations with Iran over ending the war were going "extremely well."

Speaking to reporters aboard Air Force One, Trump said the tankers will be allowed through the key Persian Gulf oil transit route starting Monday, describing the gesture by Iran as "a tribute" or "a sign of respect."

The press conference was held after Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar of Pakistan announced that Iran agreed to allow 20 Pakistani-flagged vessels through the Hormuz at a rate of two per day.

Pakistan is seeking to mediate the U.S.-Iran talks.

Golly Wally....
Between 2021 thru 2024 high gas prices was considered a proof that the sky not only was falling....

Well Beaver....
Today's rising gas prices is proof 47 is an Epstein discipline....

I will read them, but it will be later this evening. Unfortunately, I've overwhelmed with work, or should I say fortunately I'm overwhelmed with work. :) I hope you're right, the international 3 D chess game seems to have a lot of poker and shell games mixed in, too much for my small brain to absorb at times.

MAGAs just love to put Labels
You're the one labeling everything you don't like MAGA like Lady Gaga's pork chop dress, so the truth is out Fern does not want to make America Great Again. He'd rather be Make Emerica Spanish (it was never Mexican) and Samolian. (MESS.)

Schlichter makes some good points, however, he left out one group, there is a third kind of people, those who want wars to never end due to the enormous profits being made. He’s not fond of libertarians I see, “unserious idiots” was his term. Since I’m half libertarian I wasn’t offended. I hope you weren’t expecting me to “revise” my post and change my opinion of Uncle Donnie. I currently give him a C-, whereas before the war I gave him a B+. I also realize my opinion is based on what I read, there is a great deal going on that we don’t know about and I suspect much of it has to do with controlling energy, and thus indirectly controlling Red China. On a lighter note, if Trump had attacked NATO I would be 100% behind it, plus we could have caught those cats napping :) even though there is very little over there worth having.
