Hi,

Just need to vent a bit.

Today the first order I received from this client was at $350.00. My heart skipped a beat. This was a Cook County job, fees have been $385.00 for, oh, about forever in Cook County, certainly the past 2 to 3 years, as I recall.

What I'm wondering is if anyone else is seeing this, or, perhaps, if this is some kind of 'exception' for whatever reason.

For the record, I'm turning it down until the issue gets sorted out. I's offensive to me that we'd be getting a pay cut in this time of notable financial pressure our business is experiencing.

Thanks in advance,

Dave...

Dave-

I voluntarily withdrew from US Banks's approved panel after a disagreement with Red Sky (it was on an order RS did not originate, but they reviewed it).

From what I hear from my colleagues who continue to do business with US Bank via Red Sky, the basic fees are lower now than before. Although I think they still beat the typical AMC fee.

For unique properties, or complex situations, I understand they do pay fairly.

US Bank was one of my best clients; paid well and wasn't onerous in their demands. I was sorry to lose them, but I'm sure they feel as I do (who wants to be in a business relationship where one of the parties is not happy?).

Maybe they'll change; for you and the others who stick with them, I hope that is the case.

Good luck!

Our fees are the same as they were when USB was ordering them directly:415 for SFR, $440 for FHA.

Thanks guys. My question is going out mainly to my fellow Illini, as most likely they'd be affected same as I. It'll take one day to figure this out, I'm sure.

As for Red Sky and U.S. Bank, it's my understanding that U.S. Bank owns Red Sky 100%, so perhaps in their eyes they were thinking that the request was fair, Denis. I understand that you did the right thing, but could see where doing the right thing was a real head scratcher for them.

Best,

Dave...

I do work for RS and just send them back as an accept with condition of a fee increase. Most of the time they do it. If they don't, I ask them to reassign it. It is my fee, not their fee. If they want me, they have to pay. So far, no problems with RS (touch wood).

I decided to accept with a fee increase request (to the normal fee), and threw in a message wondering if the $350.00 was simply a typo.

I'll let you know what they say.

Best,

Dave...

If your property is more unusual request a fee increase. Some pocket areas are more complex, that must be their base fee for the MSA area.

Huh, got the fee approved no sweat at all. They didn't say if it was a typo, and I don't feel like asking.

All is, at least for the moment, well!

Dave...

For what it is worth, Red Sky hired a ton of green reviewers last month, so expect the stupid stips to get even worse.
