Appraiser take warning.

My first thought when they sent the notification of the "new" company.

It is never a good thing when a client goes to the AMC model, regardless of who owns said AMC.

You are 100% correct about the new folks, it's, well, burdensome at the moment.

Dave...

I thought you were opposed to AMCs on principle.

They're not an AMC. Not even registered in Illinois as such. It's an internal unit they use to keep the parties separate.

Dave...

Are you sure they are not an AMC??
from the below link..

Red Sky's Relationship with U.S. Bank
Red Sky Risk Services, LLC evolved from two internal appraisal operations exclusively serving the needs of U.S. Bank clients to form one separate company, with its own board of directors and officers providing an independent source of governance. U.S. Bank remains our primary client but now we have the opportunity to engage and service additional clients.

Where Red Sky Operates
Red Sky is able to offer appraisal services nationwide. Due to our history with U.S. Bank, our greatest appraisal resources are in the 25 states where the Bank has offices. States colored dark blue are those where U.S. Bank has offices.

Is Red Sky an AMC? I didn't see them on the Illinois Approved list.

They are not.

Yet.

Good question, Judy, couldn't tell you. I don't make the rules, just the observations!

;^)
