So, you can't take a property you pervious appraised and clone it to the new UAD 3.6 even if it's the same address. Every single appraisal completed in the past I can't clone to have one sentence or picture in the new UAD 3.6 appraisal. Sucks! I'm done!

You really don't want to clone because you might miss a different answer to a check box. You can't clone any old uad files cause it's a completely different format. But you can clone, in a work around manner, when you have a 3.6 to clone.

Is this by GSE design or a la mode shortcoming? Are you refering to importing 2.6 to 3.6 or 3.6 to 3.6?

My question is will we be able to import specific sections of previous reports, ie. neighborhood, improvements, comps, addenda, etc. In this business templates and importing are huge time savers. I fully expect this is yet another area we will be lied to and discover later that "No you can't import, copy and paste and do anything other than retype a previous report or addendum." This is also where the arrogant wing of this forum will chime in and defend the GSE/AMC crime family and say that residential appraisers are being unprofessional and unwillingly to embrace technological changes within the industry.

He said past done appraisals before 3.6. I'm assuming in the uad format.
You can't mix android and apple code, it's that different.

Total said they will have quick lists for the redundant repeating stuff. But no, you cannot clone parts of any 3.6 appraisal to another 3.6 appraisal. You can do a template, in a workaround for a certain type property. But remember, it not a report, it's a check box novel, 1 page at a time. Check box, comment, no comment, then go to next page, then repeat again and again and again.

Probably good because most changes by cloning on a property never get updated and in reviews often the appraisers would blame cloning from 5 or 10 year old reports but starting fresh is a better idea anyways on a new platform.

Cloning isn't writing reports but in general starting off in new software is better starting up fresh so ones not Transferring original errors into new reports.
The best i can hope for is a basic big city row home template, since seen 2 row styles, seen them all. But you still have to go thru every page to double check not cloning the wrong answer, just like Glen says.
