UAD 3.6 Can't clone old appraisal a la mode

Sounds like you can't start with template self created? Am I off? Where is @DWiley?

Yes, one can start with a template; however, the problem might be the lack of an import feature in the drop-down overlays. I have not tried to do a UAD 3.6 report yet - might try it soon to see -

Just because it has a template feature does not mean one can import saved comments into the UAD 3.6 drop-down overlays!

ALAMODE has a template feature as well, and I asked tech support about it - their template can be used with UAD 3.6.

However, a template does not solve the overlay problems - regardless of software, perhaps despite the promises from the newbies.

Meh - everybody has to develop their own workflow. I was just sharing a feature that at least one of the softwares provide. No need to bite the messenger.

That said, yes, templates will absolutely be supported. Initially, you’ll be able to create them using the “Save As” function. Later, the experience will evolve to resemble the SmartStart feature you’re familiar with from legacy 2.6 reports.

The Learning Edition is designed to help you get comfortable with the new UAD 3.6 format, but it’s not intended for production work. We recommend waiting until the verified version is released in January before investing time in building templates.
