More and more people in the industry are catching up to these fraudulent products pushed by the GSEs, Lenders, and AMCs.

Please provide a couple of examples of these fraudulent products in order to comment on your post.

Addie- you can’t be serious? Did you ever read about the convicted felon properly data collector hired by Class Valuation?

How about the AMCs sending these unlicensed collectors out to do “inspections” when the state forbids them to do so without a license? And there is more in the pipeline. We are just at the start of of this debacle.

No offense but that so called 1-convicted felon never did the inspection .
As far as the State most only regulate licensed appraisers.

In my State anyone can do a inspection and anyone including a Realtor can do a Market Evaluation, CMA, BPO which is not under USPAP . Now there may be a few States who required a inspector to be licensed but so what, all he has to do is get a home inspection license, which in most states is easy and cheap. The GSE'S can use and do what ever the hell they want, and no State Board is going to get in their way . Move on that Ship Has Sailed :)

Last time I checked, the state boards don’t pass state laws and regulations.:)
 
So-called? He was convicted and is serving prison time. And the only reason he did not do that inspection is that the Realtor did his due diligence(unlike the AMC) and protected his or her client.
So what it's a isolated case at best and many appraisers had felony convictions in their past . It's just not a big deal and you need the GSE'S to be on Board your Ship and they clearly are going just the opposite direction.

I would quit trying to Die on Hills that are not worth dying on. Nobody at F & F are listening to only a few people.

Don't believe me ? Just ask the people at F & F . They are real honest about where they stand, and were they want the ship to go.

Your right but they can pass guidelines and they can request State Lawmakers to pass laws they believe are needed. State Boards in General are fairly Impotent, when dealing with the large agencies and GSE's.

No I am not saying that -Each State has its own Real Estate Laws. Those Laws in general have nothing to do with what Forms or types of appraisals being used by by Banks or GSE's.
When appraisers are charged with a violation , it falls under Administrative State Law . your Boards in general are just managers of licenses, collecting fees and disciplining appraisers. They are like a Flea on a Elephants ***-If they start telling GSES what to do or what kind of appraisals can be used or ordered, they are just ignored :)
