I spoke to some and a few just told me they were independent fee appraisers and we had no right to police them on how they dress. I agree with most of that but in some cases they were a problem and borrowers made comment to their loan officers. Those people just ended up as #999 on the roster and never got any future orders.

My solution to the dress code thing was simple. Staff wore what I bought for them to wear (and had cleaned for them). We had dress shirts, polos, etc. with the company name and logo. No shorts. No jeans. No tennis shoes.

Thats great but Ya cant do that when your orders are going out to individual fee appraisers
