Seriously? I love that he fought this as most would have. But really? The dude was fighting for his life and livelihood. Nothing magical came from this. What exactly did he do? Anything change? No. While all those entities you mentioned have done **** for appraisers, I am just wondering what he did to change things? What has he done for us boors on the ground appraisers? Please elaborate

AI, TAF, ASB, ASC, Valuation Expo crowd all swallowed the appraisal bias narrative without raising a finger in defense of appraisers, the appraisal profession, and our valuation methods.

Shane took this further than most other appraisers would have dared to, much at his own expense, all to expose NFHA activists as the scammers they are. He put the opposing appraisal in a court filing to show how big of a lie it was, he filed countersuit for defamation, all of which (and more) should make swindlers think twice about suing one of us in the future.

So yeah I’d agree he probably has done more to defend working appraisers than the alphabet soupers feeding at the trough in DC.

I applaud him and supported him. Your argument that everyone else was for it while he fought it is garbage. He had to fight it… period. He had to do what was right for his family and business. This wasn’t about all of us or us appraisers. This was about his life and family and business.

But here we are today and NOTHING has changed. There are still politicians and more trying to get racial equality bills passed and more in appraisals. SMH.

Be serious. Nobody swallowed it. Allegations were made, the type of which cannot be denied without overwhelming proof. Literally proving the negative. Which cannot be proven without detailed analysis by other than what the cat ladies and Brookings did, which was to back into the predetermined conclusion.

The ONLY thing they can do in the current political environment is the obvious :"Such conduct is prohibited and we are committed to preventing it by any means necessary. Up to and including elaboration of these prohibitions and adding mandatory sensitivity training". Which BTW is not an admission of guilt, but rather the intent to always strive for improvement.

The same as has been occurring in virtually every other profession.

It is not that different than the Plan Obama came up with that lead to the Russia, Russia narrative and put Trump through a meat grinder for 7-years. Appraisers were falsely accused of racial bias as part of the Biden (and those pulling the strings) scheme to break appraisers for the benefit of AVMs/GSEs. We know that AI, AF, the media and law firms that threw us under the bus, just because they could.
