On the URAR, under the Improvements section, there is a sub section labeled "Foundation". In it is a heading that reads "Evidence of" and has 3 boxes labeled Infestation, dampness and settlement.

Do you interpret this section to be relative ONLY to the foundation? If you have termites in a wall, would you check "infestation" here? If you have moisture damage in the ceiling from a roof leak, would you check "dampness" here?

Good question. I do not check anything there that is not foundation related.

I do state the conditon(s) I noted in the subject improvements section and other places throughout the report.

I would check the box for infestation regardless of where it was found and include further explanation as to the exact locations.( termites in most instances enter at or near the foundation although evidence may be at other areas). As to dampness I would only check the box if it is at the foundation ( basement, crawl, slab) I would comment on dampness from the roof in the comment section on repairs noted / needed.
