Urgent: Advice Needed

I haven't found out the true purpose of the appraisal and I won't until the attorney calls back - I'm not calling her back. Homeowner should have been upfront with me in the first place.
 
Any that I complete for divorce I have the engagement letter set up. Which provides for $XX for prep work, $zzz for deposition or court testimony, $zzz is to be paid before I even start with prep. Charge is portal to portal. Also requires a minimum of 10 days notification before date.

I have all signed before hand with private appraisals. Even for ones that I am told it is to "see what the value is". Thus they know up front that if they call me in what the fees are.
