URGENT: You haven't uploaded any files to Vault!

Anybody else get this email today?
I wish Alamode wouldn't use "scare tactic" emails to sell products / services.

I can say with experience that investing in a reliable backup is absolutely necessary. Whether or not Alamode has marketed their product in an effective manner is open to debate, but anyone that doesn't have a reliable backup should be investing in something of this nature.

Nope.
I got one that wants to sell my listings 10 x faster.
and one
that wants me to advertise on magnets,
and 3 for $200 appraisals,
and one appraisal request to bid an appraisal, from the company that sends $200 orders.

:ROFLMAO:

No alamode email yet.

vault w/ 500 files - $149 annually

carbonite w/ unlimited storage - $60 annually

bvckup2 automated, simple to use backup software (literally set it and forget it in under 3 minutes)- $40 for commercial license annually
external 1tb drive w/ enough storage to handle ALL your appraisal files - $55 one time buy

it's not hard to do the math...

The vault is way over priced. I use a triple redundant back up including off site storage for less than $150 / yr.

I wish Vault was intergrated into the appraisal software. I don't like going out of software program to retrieve files. Ideal world, I would connect directly to Vault like my hard drive.

Or SugarSync, which not only backs up your files but will sync them among ALL your devices (computer, tablet, phone, etc). I have been using SugarSync for a few years now (switched from Carbonite) and have been well satisfied.

I dropped Vault last year and went with Dropbox. I use the business plan for $150 a yr as can have 5 users so my family each has own access/folders. Unlimited storage. Unlimited data recover so if delete something can recover. They also have a $99 1 user account. Way, way faster than Vault. I mapped it straight to A La Mode so all just drag and drop within A La Mode.

Highly recommend. Their app has integrated "scanner" you use with your phone that is something from the future. Works too good. They have 30 day trial.
