Anyone in Illinois, or anywhere i guess still getting work from Red Sky? They were my best client for years yet have not heard from them in 4 months, standard reply when asked " Its slow " though other lenders have picked up in past month.
Thanks

Last one I had from them was around 4-months ago...

They are a long time client of mine. For years have always got at least 15 a month from them. Then last year they stopped for 4 months. I spoke to the area coordinator, she said they had rotated all of their area reps, and she was new for TN and she intended on trying out all appraisers, not just the ones that have been on the panel for years. Okay, that lasted another month, then 2 months ago they sent me 7 in one week and it has been a steady flow since.

A long, long time ago, US Bank was active in mortgage market, then one day they stopped, closed up shop, figured the mortgage thing wasn't it.....note they didn't get part of the big short that affected wall street, boa, wamu, etc. They went away for 10 years, then they came back, didn't miss a beat. If they are gone again its because someone made a business decision. They are smarter than your average banker. They are still around, but as they say, "when you've refinanced 10-years of mortgages in 3-years, its not like there's lots of mortgage work around."

If they are gone in your market, might be time to pivot.

We're still getting them, but like you've observed, nowhere near as many. A few a week now, which is way low. Something's up, but I can't get a straight answer from them, because for dang sure "it's slow out there" is total b.s. We're smoking right now, and have gotten raises from every client other than them this year. (I haven't raised our fees in a while, it was just time.)

Red Sky went full retard in February. They started email blasting rural Oregon orders to every appraiser in the state. They started pulling orders after the inspection appointment was set and reassigned to cheaper out of state appraisers. Getting fee bumps for complexity or mileage is all but impossible. Currently the order I used to get are going to an Appraiser Assistant who has a Skippy sign the reports for her.

Been 6 months now/ see original post- got 2 in last 5 weeks ( 1 today-Driveby ), nowhere near volume ive had with them for years-something has changed with them. Oh well, was an easy client to work with,,Must have went with the Bifur, Bifub whatever they are called, i dont do them.,

Volume drop, for sure.

Four orders in the past two days from them. Could only accept two due to my workload and turn time requirements. Before that they had been very quiet for about five months. Glad to see them sending work again as they are a good client.
