USPAP class for the thirteenth time

Take a look at the AQB appointees. Yep William Fall of the $140.00, 1004 fame headlines it.

ASB and AQB Appointments

At the fall Board of Trustees meetings, the Boards Nominating Committee conducted their public interviews of candidates interviewing for the Appraisal Standards Board and Appraiser Qualifications Board. Following deliberations, the Boards Nominating Committee recommended, and the Board of Trustees approved the following candidates:

To the Appraisal Standards Board:

  • Alan Hummel: 2-year term
  • AJ Hutson: 3-year term
  • Nicholas Pilz: 3-year term
To the Appraiser Qualifications Board:

  • William Fall: 3-year term
  • Miriam Lopez: 2-year term
  • Valerie Scott: 3-year term
  • Brady Swinney: 1 year term
The Board of Trustees also approved the chairs and vice chairs of both boards for 2025. Nicholas Pilz was named Chair and Timothy Hansen was named Vice Chair of the Appraisal Standards Board. Jerry Yurek was named Chair and Valerie Scott was named Vice Chair of the Appraiser Qualifications Board.

Please join us in congratulating everyone on their appointments!

This is a funny thread. So many happy meerings happily meeting each other to discuss our disease and cure. Are they smoking pot, or maybe glorifying their high income salaries efforts.

I like taking the live on line USPAP. Can do my work while listening.

Is there a rule that I can't take same USPAP class in same year?
I take USPAP early this year. Later got my renewal. Then take same 2024-2025 USPAP class in same year to get it over with next renewal in two years.

I am so invigorated coming out of last week’s Board of Trustees meeting. This month, I wanted to use this space to reflect and share my deep appreciation for everyone who has contributed to our work this year. From our boards to our partners, stakeholders, regulators, councils, and panels, none of this work would be possible without their tireless contributions to prioritize the public trust.

Whenever I read or hear the word "stakeholder" it seems like some serious BS is sure to follow.

The Bible For Appraisers Is A Cash Cow For Its Creator. But The Industry Is Losing Faith

This is Part 3 of a four-part Bisnow investigative series exploring the appraisal profession, its importance to commercial real estate and the broader economy, and the people and organizations that govern the industry. Read Part 1 here, Part 2 here and Part 4 here.

All of the nearly 80,000 certified and licensed real estate appraisers in the United States must master the bible. The state and federal workers tasked with making sure those professionals are properly doing their jobs need to learn it inside and out, too.

do not cheat lie or steal...the stakeholders hate competition  :ROFLMAO:

When did USPAP CE first take place? Every two years since. 15 times?

USPAP started the path to licensing and creation of state appraisal boards.
Then public can file complaints against appraisers through the board.
Yet we are hearing about discrimination lawsuits.
Didn't public have outlet to file complaints instead of taking laws in their hands to the courts.
Government agencies have failed in their mission.

dont worry...what ever TAF writes and the states adopt through incorporation is all unconstitutional :ROFLMAO:

am i learning anything...nope :rof: :rof: :rof:
The saying is, “you can’t teach an old dog new tricks”. Are you a dog?
I have been appraising for 33 years. I have taken almost 20(?) USPAP courses. I always learn something. I take courses and attend the Summits. I say the 95/5. 95 percent is confirming what I already know and 5 percent is, “Huh! Didn’t know that!”

I can confirm this with just recently we had a post about doing another appraisal on a property with a different lender. The OP asked about getting a letter to “transfer” an appraisal to a different lender. The OP and many of the posters didn’t know the rules of 1. Not transferring an appraisal and 2. You can do a new appraisal with no letter if the original client didn’t have a “no new appraisal clause” in their engagement letter.
