USPAP Minimum requirement to Inspect

A. I made no other post in this thread.

B. I didn't say USPAP never requires an inspection.

C. USPAP does not require inspection. It requires compliance with acceptable assignment conditions.

D. I can't think of an issue that I need help from you on.

Can,

please accept my absolute humble apology. I have mistaken you for sputnam. My bad.

But since you decided to clarify your opinion. Compliance with an assignment condition is “REQUIRED” by USPAP. And if an inspection is an assignment condition, then an inspection is required by USPAP.

So apparently you do need help whether you get it by asking for it or by mistake is irrelevant.

There is nothing in USPAP specifically requiring a property inspection of any kind. It's silly and counter-productive to continue to argue this point.

USPAP scope of work rule specifically requires the appraiser to identify and “perform” the scope of work necessary to develop credible results.

If that scope of work includes an inspection, then performance of an inspection is required.

Sorry you disagree.

You are just mad because of your obvious misguided interpretation of fire code, among other things.

It's not personal.

Oh yeah, and you seem to think most people on the forum are lying, ranting and need your help.

Nothing personal, just telling like it is. :peace:

Thinking “most” people are lying, ranting and need of help is not synonymous with proving you are.

Have a nice day, Ran.

Not sure why you are parsing this ad nauseum. One can perform an appraisal without an inspection; therefore, an inspection is not required per USPAP. In certain instances if the "IF" is to be satisfied, an inspection is required. So a blanket statement that USPAP requires an inspection is incorrect.

Obsess away!

Pete, you and I already agreed that USPAP does require an inspection when it is part of the scope of work.

You will need to resolve your obsession on your own.

Again, thanks for you comments.

The SOW work rule applies to all valuation assignments under the umbrella of USPAP.

So tell us Mr. Hurlock, in a valuation assignment of an intellectual property right, how does one perform an inspection?
