V-570good Camera

Moh,

I'm thinking your camera is defective. I have the V705 and I get pretty good pictures with it. I'll admit that sometimes they turn out a bit fuzzy and I have to take a few pictures to get the "green" hand noting that they are in focus.

I also have a Canon A570 with Image Stabilization and it is a TERRIFIC point and shoot camera. Basically, I take both cameras with me on inspections and use the Kodak for wide angle shots such as large industrial buildings and tight interior pictures. However, the Canon definately produces the best pictures when the wide-angle lens is not required.

I don't know what is the problem. my picture shows the trees and rooftops but not the ocean or wave. I could see the water, and the waves in the LCD when I took the picture. The weather was clear and cloudy but no fog or smog at all. If it is defective, why it shows the trees and rooftops?
This the sample photo that I got.

Moh,

Kinda looks like you're shooting into the sun which would wash out some of the details. The camera has setting to solve that problem.

Same camera. Me too. Getting good "green hand" photos in a dim room or on a rainy day can be hard. I think I need to RTFM about the camera settings.

TC,
There was no sun. It was after rain and the air was fresh with no fog and no rain. The view that I was trying to capture was very clear and was supposed to be like this one from MLS:

Maybe a basic photography class at the local community college would be fun. I mean, For me!

Nudge nudge wink wink say no more. :leeann2:

I think it is more to the quality and the ability of the camera to capture the view than to the person who takes the picture. Isn't the camera supposed to capture whatever I can see with my naked eye and I can see in the camera LCD? What else I could or should do with the camera to capture the view like the one that the MLS photographer has captured?

I tend to think it's a defective camera, any chance you could return it for a new one?

Hey guys, I'm dumping parts from my Kodak V-570, interested, give a yell.

The Purpose of carrying a large Mavica is to have a weapon to brain a Rottwieler with... Kodaks don't hold up :)
