VA Appraisal: does it follow the home?

I agree with Don. Used to be we would indicate on the client line with "any VA approved lender". This was done so that the lenders could not requre the appraisal in their name upon switching lenders. The report was completely transferable. If I remember correctly, the borrower line used to indicate "any qualified veteran" or something to that effect for the same reason. Our protocal changed a few years ago in which we indicated the lender and borrower by name, but I'm pretty sure the report is still transferable. Call your VA regional loan center. I call them at least once a month with questions.
