Its been 4 years since the VA has increased fees and with new forms I assume maybe a fee increase in 2026? Anybody know anything?? Unfortunately, you can't communicate with the regional RLC directly anymore.

The VA has not said anything publicly about adopting the new report. Remember, it's not a form anymore.

I think It would be a huge undertaking and the timeline significant.

If VA adopts it, their ENTIRE panel is likely to retire overnight. :ROFLMAO:

VA panels are Geezer Central. They have basically already retired from most work. Those are the guys who are holding on to the VA appraising Golden Goose til they keel over and are the LEAST likely appraiser profiles to be willing, or capable of, trying to learn The UAD 3.6 Abomination ... OTOH, that WILL open up the panel to new guys ... C'Est La Vie ...

VA has no bad values problem, why should they change the form. Then they would have to learn 3.6. And would 3.6 fannie system work in the veteran system.
Right as said above, they ain't gonna upgrade to a new problem.

Well, a few years ago the Head Appraiser for VA was on a 3-way Zoom with the Head Appraisers of Fannie and Freddie ... and he said that the VA WOULD go along ... of course that was before it became obvious it was turning into a clusterfark ... for the sake of the VA appraisers out there, I hope he has changed his mind. I loved being a VA appraiser out West ...

Edit: Copilot informs me that the VA will probably trail the GSEs by "months, even years" in adopting their standard, and may (as they have done in the past) allow their appraisers a "grandfathered" extended period for submitting appraisals using the old system. That only makes sense when you realize what a MASSIVE turnover of appraisers the VA is facing if they implement "The 3.6 Abomination" ...

Sorry, I know you love your emojis but you are wrong. Most of the VA appraisers in my area are between the ages of 30-55. This isn't 1999 anymore.
