I'll go when they hold it closer to me
Same here, I thought in years past they used to hold one conference out west and one on the East Coast, I haven’t seen one in the south east in a while, unless I missed it. Maybe they were different different conferences? Most appraisers can’t afford an airline ticket right now. I’d consider driving a few hundred miles, but not 2500.

Never been. Maybe next year when the new mobile UAD comes out.

Two big classes on discrimination. These guys are commie Democrats. Yep. --- Just kidding of course. Or, am I? Will I go? It costs $449, plus $100/night room + $40/night fees + Tax. I asked my wife and she complained: "I thought you were done with appraisal!!!" Well, sure, I've pretty much come to the conclusion I'm not going to do more appraisals, but that doesn't mean I have totally lost interest in the profession. But, I get to thinking, is it worth the money? Would I be better off going to an R, statistics of AI convention? It would be interesting to observe the changes. But, sadly, from the looks of things, I don't see that much has changed. Mostly a lot of old people like myself just getting older. ...........

Been to a few off and on over the years. Depends on what your focus is for your business and it's an nice way to get CE. (Most states approve the hours spent attending the general sessions for CE. You'll want to check with them to see what the deal is with your state.) It's also a really good networking opportunity if you're good at that. I know of a couple of firms that picked up direct lenders as new clients at the last one through casual conversations at the social events.

That's true. But most of the CE there is Useless Political Indoctrination ("Diversification" and Discrimination) .... Like I hinted, Commie Democrat infiltration of the profession.

I started going in 2016 and missed 3. They were 2019 because it got to the point where I was seeing the same thing, even Bryan Reynold’s same jokes and the 2 remote ones due to the pandemic. I then started up again in 2022.

I like to go because I am a one man shop and have no other outlet to meet fellow appraisers for input. I also learn at least something, many times a few good things. Is it worth it? Aside from that one year, yes, it is. Also, hey. It is Vegas and it is a business expense!
