Very Fast Appraiser?

I wouldn't be able to sleep at night.

He could be a "poster boy" for an AMC to prove there is a "legitimate" reason not to raise appraiser fees because they can complete 3-8 a day.

When I was working northern VA, with a lot of conforming housing, think I got to 3 a day a few times....but they were VERY, VERY long days.....and I was much younger and dumber.

Up here in VT, I'm lucky if I can get ONE done in an 8 hour day. Got a 2-4 family in a rural village on my desk that I inspected Tuesday morning and spent most of the rest of the day digging thru town records, drove and collected data on comps ALL day yesterday (have 1 comp in the same village, but the next closest is 8 miles away and the furthest is 24 miles), began writing around 10 am this morning and it's still hours away from complete.

I will be holding nationwide seminars on how to slow production down to one appraisal a week. Discount price to board members. Among the exciting topics that will be covered:

Inspection tips such as stopping for coffee along the way, how to measure a using a ten inch ruler, taking one blurry photo so have to return to property. Exciting technology material such as battery running out on phone so no research can be done in field, pressing delete key right before sign so have to do entire report over.

Verification techniques such as dropping by RE office to meet the agent on a sale and sitting down with them for a long chat .Brain charging tips such as posting long arguments on an appraisal bulletin board. And much more! Sign up today for this ground breaking opportunity to learn from a master at procrastination. (AMP designation , Appraisal Master Procastinator will be awarded to the top 10% at completion of course)

And the winner is Appraiser Coach:

Without question, some of the USPAP pups in here would like nothing more than to roast him slowly over a spit, but I'll say this, there is usually something that can be learned from his articles and podcasts.

Yeah just try and schedule 6 appointments in one day.

I hate writers who make you read their whole post before you can figure out what they are trying to say. Appraiser Coach likes to prattle on and on, just like a coach.

I would dearly love to follow him around for a day and then review those 8 a day. If he was working 24 hours a day, not sleeping, not eating, all were within a block of each other and used all the same comps, and were all the same floor plan, he might pull it off. Other than that, no friggin way in a typical suburban market.
