The Duck in another post stated : "The ACLB should video stream the meetings."

It actually took me a couple days to really analyze that statement. But IT IS EASY to video stream a meeting on the net, it costs almost nothing and it would provide one GIANT service to those of us living 5-8 hours from the meeting.

OR is a big state and it is hard to make the meetings. I think we should seriously approach Bob Keith and the board with this suggestion.

Anyone else agree. OR in my opinion has been on the forefront of licensing, why not take it a step further.

Dog,

If it helps your cause, New York does it and I beleive that Florida does also....maybe you shuld put up a poll to see how may states do it and include that info in your request for it...

Dog,
There is a CCTV station in Salem that may be able to help with the production, and I'm not sure but there may be some production assistance avaialble from Chemeketa Community College.
I am all for it, I would love to be able to attend the board meetings and would do it regularly if I was closer. It is a distinct disadvantage being almost 100 miles from the nearest interstate highway, and then to have another 130 miles to drive on I-5 just to get to Salem. It's at least an 8 hour trip for me, plus whatever time for the board.
It would be a real advantage for those of us at a distance to see what goes on.

Sure it makes sense - so what do you think the chances are?

I don't know. You were on there long enough. What do you think we should do to get it presented. It seems like the board is receptive to new ideas, for the most part.

Any hints how we could get this going?

That would be a great idea!

I am going to the next meeting, but would love to watch from my computer in the future!

Thanks and if you need help introducing the idea, let me know.

IMO, Bob'n'board would not be interested in this. Bob'n'board is interested in appraiser participation. Kant make it too easy. If you wanta know, show up. Anyway, the minutes are posted each time.

Happy Friday.

I'd be willing to pay an extra $100 per renewal for this. Wait a minute, I already am paying an extra $100 per renewal.
