W2K Pro/Nero/eTrust EZ Antivirus

I'm running w2k professional with eTrust EZ Antivirus. I installed the cd burner portion of Nero and had big time problems. After rebooting, the system starts up and shuts back off when it gets to the restoring network mode. It's just a continuous loop. I had to uninstall Nero; questions:

1. know of any good burner programs that work with w2k?
2. know of any good antivirus programs that work with w2k?
3. anyone upgraded from w2k to xp? if so, how did it go?

I upgraded from 98 to XP with no problems. I had big problems with 98 after the Comcast cable guy got done messing with my registry and I couldn't get back on the internet with my cable modem. XP solved the problem when I upgraded but I couldn't use my old Win98 CD burner. I bought Hot Burn (Burn & Go) by Iomega Software at Office Max for around $20. It works great on music and data CD's. It is even capable of burning directly to the CD without doing a pre-sample/simulation. I haven't lost one CD yet due to overruning the buffer during a burn.

I use the AVG anti-virus software from www.grisoft that has been recommended on the forum before. It's free to download. It works great with XP. Updates are free also and most impressively, it attaches this note to your outgoing email:

Version: 6.0.373 / Virus Database: 208 - Release Date: 7/1/2002

That note makes some clients happy to see that your email is reasonably safe to open.

Just remember to log on to grisoft every once in awhile for the free updates.

I know this won't help you much but I run W2K with the Nero software with no problem. I really like the software.

As for anti-virus I use the Tried and True Norton 2000.

I went from W98 to W2K because I hated W98 so. The upgrade has been smooth with on very minor problems.
