Same here Jim! I cn not do a NEW APPRAISAL for a review fee....and that is what happens a lot of times. I have gone to a "quote" policy and the quote is only after i get a FULL EDI copy of the report and see what it looks like.

How about the ones that come in with 6 or 8 comps and they fail to mention that?

Bob. that's the first thing I ask them. And the last one they sent with 6 comps I quoted a full fee. It's the ones they send me to review and they ask for two more additional comps before I even see it. They call them enhanced reviews, and I quote them enhanced fees.

I had one major lender call and keep asking me to do them for regular price, because they would send them all to me. I said I don't want them all as I lose money on them. So the more I do, the more I lose. I told them if they got a decent appraiser, they wouldn't need to review them with extra comps. This business is going to hell anymore.
