Check difference between licenses lost in Oregon compared to out of state appraiser's licenses either revoked or surrendered.

How do you do that? Is is listed on their website? Is it public knowledge?

Word is that the board was sued by out of state appraisers for biased treatment and the state lost the law suits.

What lawyer did they use?

Also, what action was the ACLB trying to take against out of state appraisers? If they were out of state, why did the Oregon ACLB want anything to do with them? Were they doing review work of Oregon appraisals?

Duke 73,
Some lawyers have been winning some suits the last couple of years representing appraisers from out of state but licensed in Oregon. There has been an established bias and abuse of power. Keith and Fisher are gone and left behind a lot of damage. I know that I will never lay down for a board again. I learned a lot of lessons.

Go to ASC.gov and check disciplinary actions. It shows the appraiser is/was licensed. I have NOT looked up Oregon myself.....but have other states. If they are a "no revocation" state it will be tough to make such a claim.

They were out of state with Oregon license (example: Vancouver, WA appraisers) They would take advantage of complaints sent in and go after every little thing they could find in a report including making up violations which are not violations. Example: I had a lender who was VERY satisfied, in fact wanted, MLS photos. They deemed them more representative of the home at the time of listing or sale. Chuck Fisher was fining for using them stating that it was misleading (the lender would think that we took the photo). We would still drive by all of the comparables, but we did not have to slow down in traffic to take a photo. Lawyer? I do not know. I have sent a complaint to the Appraisal Subcommittee and am waiting for that result before I actually file suit. By the way, they would take licenses for first time offenses. Unless there is something like fraud (convicted in a court case), that is just never done.
