Hi all. First thread.

I’ve got 10 years exp in a mix of commercial and residential. I also do software engineering on the side. I‘m the kind of guy who trains a bot to predict effective age on my residential comps so I don’t have to constantly search for things.

I was thinking about applying to CBRE for stability; it’s the main thing I lack in private work. I’m in a tough area with a lot of hungry people. It’s not uncommon I get underbid by $100 and lose a job.

Can anyone tell me what it’s like? The amount of work, the fees they charge clients, the take home pay? I know they have different levels of “appraiser” too. Valuation associate reads like trainee. Senior Appraiser sounds like “fresh license” and VP reads a little scary with “400k minimum annual production” as an experience requirement.

Thanks in advance!!

I think its like any real estate sales, takes time to build up a client base. Or...you may get lucky and land a big one your first month.

Send me a PM and I'm happy to chat about some of your questions.

Might help if you provide a contact email outside AF. Spell it out so bots don't pick it up is best approach. Cheers.
Oh, good idea: atgappraisal at gmail
