C 3 for condition of this kithen.

Quality is a different question. Unable from the image to see the house but the kitchen photo shows low ceilings and meh cheap tile the house itself might be a Q 4. There is nothing wrong with a Q4 house and a brand new home can be Q4.

Quality and condition are not always one and the same, and style/trend is more about aesthetics but it can be of interest with updating and remodeling.

It definitely looks like a Q4 kitchen. Why would a 25 year old kitchen indicate C3? Around 10-15 years ago it would have been indicative of a C3 kitchen.

So if you guys are saying this kitchen is indicative of C3, when does this 25 year old kitchen become a C4?

If it is a C3 now, then what is it after they update tiles, paint cabinets, replace hardware, get new countertops and appliances?

It is a C3 as is and C3 after updates?

C3 says examples include "remodeled kitchen or bathrooms".

C4 says examples include "kitchen and bathrooms that are dated but fully functional".

So the question is does this kitchen that looks like it was remodeled 25 years ago count as a remodeled kitchen? Or is it now dated but fully functional?

I've seen kitchens like this that are new built in 2020-25.

Really? Show me a photo.

They are kind of like shaker cabinets but with oversized rail and stiles on the doors. I haven't seen any new kitchens with cabinets like that and reddish in color with corian countertops. The way they have that little island in the breakfast area is strange too.

That kitchen is 20-25 years old.

The cabinets and backsplash tiles definitely look like 20-25 years old. Based on the countertops it could be 25-30 years old.

Read the definitions ( Again), not the examples. It looks like some or all of the stainless steel appliances the kitchen are not original but of course that is a guess. Teh cabinets and counters are a bit dated but look like good quality for what they are - real wood not particle board with a thin veneer, well maintained corian counters not cheap formica.

When would it become a C 4? When it shows deferred maintenance, Chipped or peeling cabinets, stained and scratched countertops, some appliances perhaps not working or they are near the end of their economic life, poorly maintained
