I read something it said "most large lenders and GSEs".

Could someone tell me what is the GSE.

Thanks

"getting screwed everyday"

Government Sponsored Entities. Like Fannie Mae, Freddie mac, etc...

Quasi government companies.

Though, I think both of them are now publicly traded, so not sure what that makes them now.

Government Sponsored Enterprises. ie: Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac

SOS has this right.

It is the rock group- Freddie and the Maes- you know- Fannie Mae, Sally Mae, Ginne Mae and Come what May

Goverment Sponsored Enterprises are privately owned corporations formed under a Federal Charter and have both special obligations, limitations and some special rights.

A GSE is an organization that gets its initial funding from taxpayers and now wants to act like a private corporation as if though they never took public money in the first place.

Sort of like the post office, AF, etc- even though those groups aren't GSE's.

I don't think the AppraisersForum was ever funded by the government. :rof:
