This is a poll in conjunction with the incompetent appraisers thread. Please do allow this thread to steal the discussion from the original thread. I merely am interested in seeing the results of a statement made in it.

50-59% if REO appraisals are not considered mortgage lending appraisals.

Mortgage lending, probably 75%... mortgage BROKER lenders, probably half of a percent.

I'm going to guess 10-20%, but I don't keep track. I typically have between 0 and 2 lending assignments at any one time, and none of it is GSE or AMC related.

30-40%...no AMC work.

Thank you.

10-19% w/Bulk Legal and Review.

Our business is down 80% between 2007 and now. 2006 was great. Most of what we get for lending purposes is difficult at best. The rest of our work is personal or individual clients.

My "mortgage lending" work has remained steady for a number of years. My secondary market lending biz is limited to one client- an in-house mortgage lender (Wal-Mart related Arvest Mortgage Co.), we are probably down by 50% from them as we did a lot of new construction...probably 20 reports per year.

But my bank clients are mostly in-house lenders and they are mostly ag and commercial with considerable residential mix. We are doing more REOs for those same clients. Estate appraisals are continuing to increase "market share" of my biz. Consulting is also about 10% or more of my biz.
