What to do about ACI.

Been reading the responses to ACI's shut down. I've used ACI for many years without complaint. However, when I renewed my support a few months ago I was disappointed with their support. They've changed. Was told I had to renew online (don't care to do anything online). When I called support with a question after having an issue with trying to renew online, what did they do?? they renewed my support over the phone, which is what I wanted to do in the first place. Very disappointed with ACI at this point. So, I looked into Alamode. Alamode was bought out by Corelogic. Corelogic was bought out by Stonepoint in 2021. Don't understand why these appraisal companies are being passed around from one entity to another. I get free enterprise and all that, but they should be stand alone. So, if I switch to Alamode is it only a matter of time? On the other hand should I stay with ACI who is probably now the wiser...

Total is probably the most data heavy of the providers. Having said that, SFREP (Appraise-it) and Bradford (Clickforms) are very clean programs that will do 99% of the things Total does. Neither have difficult learning curves. Not sure about HomePuter since I've not used them for 20 years. But Total and ACI are very small parts of the bigger company. So they are hardly on the radar of FAF and CoreLogic. That's why I'd avoid both of them.

Just stick with what you got. New forms are coming out and then who knows.

I used to have alamode. I now have Clickforms and it is so much better. It even checks your appraisal for "bias" terms automatically. I really like their Inspects Alot program for my IPad too.

In all fairness ACI business has become a victim and if the other players systems or affiliates had been hacked it would be the same thing.

I doubt Blackcat is targeting smaller fry. ACI got caught up in it because their owners got caught up in it. Nevertheless, if your clients don't want to see ACI then ACI is toast and likely to close or sell out. There are a bunch of folks jumping ship because their (few) AMCs are telling them not to use the program.

My understanding was the Title Companies- Computers that were hacked and it was not an attack against ACI Software directly and they just got entangles in the Title Companies Computers being hacked..
