What year was the Petition began?

Signing it was like a baptism for me, I finally knew I was not alone and could not look back. I knew it had risk, but I had enough. Do not regret on bit.

You all should have been around when Wayne started this Forum 3 Appraisers Ripped into him & how all this was going to be was another Appraiser that knew nothing about Appraising was going to make money off the backs of working Appraisers & that was the nice things they said. I wonder IF they now run one of the many AMC's, or AVM's.

I kept that posting until I moved from N.H. It inspired me to be sure I'd be a better Appraiser than those three idiots.

By the way, back then we had a online live chat room & Joe Moore was one of those that supported Wayne to the tenth degree. & then of course there was Dave Biggers that at that time even had time to join in. I miss many of the charter members input on here. When the Petition was started I believe there was less than 500 members on here.

We have so many more great writers on here now, than back then, yet can't seem to get them to compose a letter in behalf of Appraisers.

I still think July 4th week of 09 would be a great time for every worker in every line of work to NOT work for a week. Bet they'd pay attention to those that pay our government salaries then.

I'm 2946 on the list, my sister 2947.

I took a class last fall and the instructor said the petition went before the house for comments on consideration and the closest thing that came to pass was a motion to solve the appraiser pressure problem by revoking the licenses and certifications of every appraiser who signed the petition. The representative stood up and said something to the effect that the appraisers who were complaining were the weak ones who couldn't take a stand on their own. He was also receiving a lot of campaign contributions from big lenders.

Got to love the Free Market.

Any idea who that representative is? :new_snipersmilie:I suppose it's just more proof that the corruption is rampant from the top to the bottom. I'd love to get a hold of that now.

I remember signing back in 2000. I looked, and can't find my signature. There are blank spots here and there. Wonder if it got removed for some odd reason???

Hey, I already did that this year. Not by choice, of course.

Google appraiser petition along with your name. You will need to scroll down the list to find your name.

Karl I told you once before, some signed it because they believed in it, others because they recognized an effective marketing tool.

#186....and I think I signed it in 2000. First met Wayne about 2001. Met Pam soon after that...she was a guest speaker for our appraiser's group (CAREA.net) last year. Don't know what I would do if the forum went away.
