Hi If the CE question, answered is about: 2022 USPAP class, please share.Anyone know what is going on at the Appraisal Board? I've been trying to get an answer to a question about CE for about a month. They don't answer the phone.
Yes.In NC, the 7 hour USPAP class is due 05/31/2022. It is always due the last day of May.
The NCAB will give you 7 hours for TEACHING a class. My CE question was whether an AQB certified USPAP instructor (my test for that is Sunday) has to take the update class. In case anyone cares, you do unless you actually teach the class through an approved provider.
USPAP changed cycles. The CE requirement, including the 7 hour USPAP update class, didn't. You still have to take the USPAP update before the end of May 2022. It won't be an exact repeat of the USPAP update you had last time.
In my state I can get 7hrs of CE credit for teaching the 7 hour update, but teaching it does not meet the requirement to take it. A little silly, but not something they have been willing to change given how few are affected. The NCAB will give you 7 hours for TEACHING a class.
No. The NEW 7 hour course will be released this month and you will be able to take it as soon as someone offers a class. The 2020-2021 is dead and gone as soon as the new version comes out. Again, in NC (or has been in the past) you will need to take it by May of 2022. NC wants you to take it early in the cycle so you can use the information (which makes perfect sense) rather than waiting until the 2 year cycle is running out. The new class coming out will be the 2022-2023 version.Yes.
My confusion is I read: the 20222 USPAP would be released in October and/but
the confusing part
was that we would need to take the 2021 USPAP... AGAIN (repeat) to comply with 2022 since there will be NO new USPAP for the upcoming cycle, 05/31/2022.
