You guys are just mad that Brian came up with 3/4 of a $million over a weekend

That’s just....magical. That that much cash was lying around or quickly acquired over the weekend. Brian must be real valuation visionary with magical business acumen. Doesn’t pay the loan to begin with, defaults and ends up paying $96,000 in attorneys fees. Amazing

Good catch. Joanie must be so proud of one of her first "Visionaries".

REVAA likes to talk about how they want what is best for the appraisal profession. Many REVAA members try to convince appraisers that we are in a partner relationship. REVAA claims to be many things. Well maybe this is an opportunity for them to do something that most appraisers would find to be a good thing.

When is REVAA going to take a stand and ostracize themselves from Brian Coester and his despicable AMC? Surely this is a no-brainer.

Brian Coester has notoriously not paid appraisers in a timely manner,
Appraisers over the last decade have posted on this forum that in order to get paid they have to contact his AMC multiple times,
Brian Coester's AMC has been sanctioned by multiple states for unlawful behavior,
Brian Coester's own appraisal license was sanctioned for many USPAP infractions,
Brian Coester was involved in a lawsuit with one of his executives where he harassed the guy because of his sexual orientation,
Brian Coester for a second time was sending out checks to appraisers that were not honored by his bank,
Brian Coester has a history of spousal abuse,
Brian Coester is involved in a lawsuit for hacking into an appraiser's personal computer and e-mail.

The above is only a partial list of despicable things that this man has done to put a stain on the AMC industry and it seems logical that REVAA would seek the high road and sever their relationship with him and eliminate him from the organization.

Most likely no appraiser thinks REVAA might even think about doing the right thing concerning this guy but one can hope. We won't hold our breath as we will most likely turn blue.
Your questions are all rhetorical

Appraisers should take note of the attorney's fee:

That 34 cents is important.

In the lending and AMC world it' soften better to run with the petal to the metal and simply break laws and pay fines. In the real world Coester may have profited additional millions and he was a X-Sub-Prime kingpin back in the day so a $700,000 +/- fine was a good deal and the attorney fee's are tax deductible. Why do you think major money center banks are always in hundreds of lawsuits and every year a major pays out millions to billions in fines. The regulators and banks are partners one is simply the pimp and the other is the ***** and the agencies need the fines to keep their bureaucracies open and pay all those benefits. BUT the real beauty of these operations is it's the shareholders who pay the bill anyway and nobody ever goes to jail except some poor lower level jerk who gets set up in a perjury trap by the feds and he gets 6 months to a year while the CEO and his boys get million dollar bonuses.
