After a long hard look at how poorly many appraisers have been trained and after being contacted by countless appraisers looking for a mentor, I have written a training course for appraiser-trainees that will take the form of a boot-camp training program.
I will be taking groups of 7-10 appraisers into the field over a 5-10 day period to appraise residential properties of all types. I will be providing 4 hour labs on the use of software, sketching programs, MLS, public records resources, working with lenders and AMCs and appraisal principles. In general, I will cover everything that the basic appraisal courses do not cover. Attendees will complete several different types of residential appraisals as a group in a 'live' environment.
I was hopeful that I may be able to post somewhere on your sight so that I can announce it to the So Cal area trainees.
