Where did the term "Skippy" come from?

I used to call Bucks a skippy 20 years ago when he appraised here in Texas until they ran him out. I guess he felt he needed to spread the glory.

I never understood why skippy is so wildly popular on the forum. Bucks has come up with funnier stuff such as "goat ropers, brush poppers and high-heeled-doctors-wives-in-gold-jackets."

"Where is Hopland" was much, much funnier.

Who was it that said, "Otis has to staple his reports with railroad spikes to hold all his addenda?" Now, that was funny.

Skippy, down at the jiffy lube, with his clip board???

I liked the stories about Boom Boom Bonnie, the real-it-ore.
