It seems to me that I have seen White Picket Fences around cemetaries. Sounds to me like the death of appraising as we know it.

OK while we are here did anyone ever hear of the William Fall Group? They are advertising for appraisers.

Run from them while you can! They pay $136 for an FHA, make your appt and it's due in 24 hours. They pay $105 for a conventional. Pretty degrading. There's a 3-5 hour phone conversation so they can load their software into your compauter and as an employee, the appraisal is in their name with your signature. I defiitely would not recommend them unless you want to work for peanuts!

Oh geez, there you go J Grant, bashing the AI. How DARE someone question the support of the AI for appraisers.

This is nearly as bad as ever questioning the ethics of someone who has 3 letters after their name (especially if 2 of those letters happen to be vowels).

What next!?!

Perhaps you should complain to the Head Surfer since he accepts advertising from the AI. I'm sure he'd be happy to forego the advertising revenue they generate.

As far as adverts by sleazeballs on the AI site, how does that compare to ads by sleazeballs here on the Forum? Does that mean Forum posters are as unethical as Appraisal Institute members?

As for the original topic here, the principal of White Picket Fence is a Columbia University grad! How proud they must be of their alumna. I'd like to have a discussion with one of their philosophy professors to see just what they teach as "Logic" at Columbia.

Logic is being taught in colleges? I remember professors teaching about their life experiences and not really teaching logic. I had to find out logic with my first co-op job.

I looked into this also, sounded too fishy too me, and never mind the whole USPAP question. Just another way to try and get substandard work passed by the governing agencies.
