OK - channel 15 said realtors, loan officers and appraisers were among the real estate professionals arrested or indicted today and even had a link to the indictments. But none of the documents mentioned appraisers, just realtors, loan officers, their assistants, and a mess of straw buyers. Any one know who the involved appraisers are????
 
No clue what channel 15 refers to. I am probably not anywhere near your area. Are you in Phoenix/Tucson?
I hope the assisting appraisers get removed long term from the industry.

One certified general was mentioned in those indictments, last name of Holm. Did not see any other appraisers in the indictments.
 
In Chicago, 67 charged but no names so far of Appraisers, newspaper reports say they were Mortgage Brokers, loan officers, real estate agents, home builders, and attorneys.
 
The list does not include any of the appraisers who should be arrested for enabling the mortgage frauds I know about and that I have provided details about to the IRS and DEA.

That is: so far.

Hopefully more will be indicted.
 
Has anyone heard or done business with Quitugua & Associates in Az?

This house is in my in-laws neighborhood is now foreclosed on and listed at $618,000, but was bought by Felix Guzman for $943,000 when homes were selling in the 700's. I hope this guy is locked away for the rest of his life.

Maricopa County Recorders Office lists Warranty Deeds, Deeds of Trusts.
Arizona Corporation Commissions lists LLC's; Arizona Board of Realtors lists
Realtors. Most of this info is on the Recorder's website, if you read the Warranty
Deed it states buyer, seller, if you view the Deed it lists the Title Co, amount
of deeds, property address. There is also the Maricopa County Assessor's Office has to who now owns the property. Az Sec of State lists Notaries All= on line public record.
 
I know this in the Arizona forum, but there have been a few threads on this latest happening across the country and very few appraisers are listed. They will be named as people start to sing to get reduced sentences.

My question would be could this file down to the trainees who are now licensed or certified, and maybe their licenses would be invalid because of the "mentors" actions and "training"?
