Why is Socal MLS so cheap?

Silicon Valley MLS systems do not require disclosure of concessions. Sale Price can also be omitted with written request from buyer or seller.

Also, in the more upscale communities in Silicon Valley the transfer tax info is placed on the back of the deed. The back of the deed is not photocopied into the public record - data companies then have no access to the amount of the transfer tax paid and can not calculate the sale price.

If your MLS is not providing the detail or amount of data you want, then start asking for change.

The local MLS system here had the same issues Kickerdad noted about Silicon Valley MLS. I remember knocking on doors of mansions, hat in hand, asking for the SP. Heck, agents were not even required to provide room count on 2-4s and that was when I said enough is enough and made myself heard.

If anyone has a suggestion to inprove BAREIS MLS just drop me a PM and I'll see what I can do.
