Wierd housing statistic from Census Bureau

I was checking the occupancy status statistics from the census bureau and found that census tract 67 in Las Vegas has 7,580 housing units of which 7,114 are vacant. The population for this tract is 719. The occupancy rate works out to 6.1%. You would think that this area would look like a ghost town but in reality it is the south part of the Las Vegas strip between the Venetian and Tropicana Hotels. The census is apparently counting condo/hotel units in the housing stats.
 
That's got to be the biggest motel district I've never seen.

Interesting stats.
