Will VA go AMC?

The current system gives VA all the control at a lower cost than it would be for an AMC. No upside for anyone other than the AMC to change
Have to go higher on public trust. Separate AMC and APPRAISAL FEES on truth in lending disclosures and you have solved the market structure problems and public trust.

Competency also comes into play. Separate AMC and APPRAISAL fees on truth in lending disclosures and public trust benefits.

I don't know if VA will go AMC or not for veterans. When you have a program in place that needed no bailout to taxpayer American citizens?

Why do you try to fix something that is not broken for the American taxpayer?

American citizens bailed out everybody but VA in the meltdown. Why fix something that is not broken?

The AMC model is broken badly.

I would love to know the billions that AMERICAN taxpayers bailed AMC system out.

From a FB post-

"The beginning of the end?

I'm sure many have seen this recent article in the Appraisal Institute's Valuation Magazine - Under Threat. It states, "Recently, the VA has been considering changes to this functioning and respected system by incorporating appraisal management companies into the process. This idea has been driven in part by pressure from mortgage lenders who want the freedom to influence which appraisers the AMC selects, giving them added control without added accountability."

Perhaps a reason why there is limited information on the VA's adoption of the UAD 3.6. Is the VA going the AMC route instead?"
That magazine is a joke.
