Anyone do the recent Windows 10 updates? I did and it hid all the icons. Thinks my laptop is a tablet apparently because it has touch screen and I cannot access website URLs plus half my programs are inaccessible except finding in explorer. I am trying to restore back to previous version. On web ppl are howling as it is a major headache.

Update restore worked for once...

I have my computer set to 'metered' connection so it doesn't automatically download updates. I'll take care of this myself, thank you very much.

I'm still using XP on my office computer and they don't bother XP users anymore. LOL.

Typical Microsoft, they don't fix any bug until it causes the blue screen of death or it becomes a major security breach.

There should be two kinds of updates. 1. Improvement in security. 2. Some stupid improvement that wasn't a problem with the existing operating system. Windows 7 worked just fine, thank you.

I would update #1 updates and never #2 updates.

Microsoft waits until the security flaw is known to the outside world and used by hackers even though they know of the problem before hand before fixing it. It cost money to rewrite an operating system to fix a breach in security or internet browser or internet email or .....
