The last time I called REAC for the screens question, they said all windows that open needed a fully functional screen. This was about 1 1/2 to 2 years ago. I'm still going by that.
Geeesh, don't tell the Realtors and LOs around here that screens are not necessary!!!!
I can't imagine no screens during a power outage in Florida.
Ben, Dear you are probably correct in your attitude, but as (or ***) usual I was hoping someone had a more recent class, face to face or phone conversation with a person of opinion at HUD.... FYI I haven't yet called, am hoping someone there is stewing over this matter at present  and there will be a definitive answer when I get around to calling...
Prior to my last face to face I had been told that one DID require screens so who knows what this weeks ruling is. Will advise when I DO talk to someone...
I'm not too far off in my little dummies statement. I remember when HUD had info on their website that stated their buyers were the least knowledgable, least motivated and the least informed....and HUD insures loans for these people?
Maybe you should leave a bottle of Off/Bug Repellant at the home to keep the bugs away....you know what will happen to your Claims and Default rate, if you don't????? Up..Up..Up
Me, I'm still stupified from following the mosquito sprayer around my neighborhood on my bike when I was kid. Damn, what was in that "fog?"
Probably the same stuff that's in Trottas snow globe.
Lee Ann.....But then you must consider the part of the country! Our latest news is that mosquitos are not prevalent this year because we have had little to no rain. West Nile is not a problem here because of that..... :? Just thought I'd throw that in to the mix.
DUCK: They are on their way, I can hear the wings running by my ears: the type of misquitos which carry West Nile apparently don't need much water and in fact the drought has helped spread thier proliferation: more stagnant ponds in stead of flowing water!
