I just guestimate it. Never had a problem. If it is farther away, there is a feature to draw a radius which will give you the distance. When I'm filling out the grid and I get to the "Proximity" cell, I map the comp, label it and put in my distance. When I'm done filling in the grid for all the comps my map is done and ready to copy and paste. It really doesn't take much extra time.
As for support, I guess maybe I'm just good, but in the 3-4 years that I've had WinTotal I've never had a problem that I couldn't figure out by searching the help files. I think maybe people are just too lazy to search the help files to figure out their problem.
I only paid $399.00 for an enterprize version, so the idea of paying $350.00 a year for "support" is a rip off to me. I think Alamode is smart, they milk you for all kinds of things after the original purchase. I just think that you bought the dam software, that should be it.
