Working for the government

I'm curious if anyone on this board is concerned about collecting fees from government contracts? Have you heard any concerns from your project managers? I just lost out on another Federal job so I'm not working on anything right now, but they ask me for bids occasionally. The government fees are low in my area so I'm wondering if it's even worth bidding.

HUD is being downsized by up to 50% this year and so are other agencies.
